

As the first Pay Per View event to take place without Vince McMahon, SummerSlam 2022 was historic. Leaving aside the controversy, it goes without saying that Mr. McMahon was the visionary whose brilliant wrestling mind transformed the pro wrestling business. WWE legend Bret Hart offered his thoughts on The Big Man’s retirement and how Stephanie will lead the business moving forward.

After the insane SummerSlam, Hart joined in the conversation on WWE Extraaa Dhamaal, where he commented on Mr. McMahon‘s retirement. “I think that Vince was a very creative, maybe one of the smartest guy I ever knew in wrestling. He had a great mind, a great imagination.”
“And I have always had infinite respect for how smart and how deep he was about wrestling. I don’t know if anybody’s ever going to fill those shoes. Good luck to Stephanie McMahon and everyone else to try to fill those shoes cause it’s a big pair of shoes to fill.”

Like many fans, Hart was wondering how Triple H, the organization’s new creative director, and Stephanie McMahon, its CEO, would run it after The Big Man retired. However, they delivered the insane pay-per-view of the year, which probably also impressed McMahon. Consequently, Hitman believes the new CEO will undoubtedly fill her father’s shoes.
Bret Hart believes Stephanie McMahon will rise to the challenge as Vince McMahon retired
According to Hitman, “The Billion Dollar Princess” is a highly industrious, determined young lady; and suggests don’t underrate her. Notably, SummerSlam 2022 showed Stephanie is capable of doing many things and will now make a fantastic company representative.

Moreover, Hart added, “Stephanie’s going to have to step up and fill those shoes, and I think that’ll be a challenge for her but at the same time, Vince, whether he realizes it or not, will enjoy his time off and maybe buy himself a big yacht.”
“He’ll find a way to make himself happy. He’s a very strong little guy. There’s nobody going to get the best of Vince McMahon. He’s a guy that never quits, never stops.”

Hart did praise Mr. McMahon despite the notorious time he once spitted at the billionaire at the infamous Montreal Screwjob. He stated that given McMahon has worked for the firm for more than 40 years, Hitman advises The Big Man that his retirement is a blessing in disguise and that McMahon should take advantage of it and enjoy his time.
