

The WWE is home to heroes. Many children aspire to become wrestlers, like the ones they look up to. One such kid, who had a dream of becoming a WWE wrestler, was Reid Flair. The younger sibling of ‘Queen’ Charlotte Flair, always wanted to dazzle the audiences like his father, Ric Flair did so eloquently.
However, his addiction became his primary obstacle, which prevented him from achieving his dreams. Recently, Charlotte Flair broke the silence on the last days of her brother, as she broke out into tears.

Charlotte Flair recollects a traumatic memory in her life
In a recent episode of A&E’s Biography: WWE Legends, Charlotte Flair and Ric Flair shared their last memories of Reid Flair. Ahead of WrestleMania 29 weekend where Charlotte was going to wrestle Paige in an exhibition match, she had to hear the news of her brother’s tragedy.

Ric Flair spoke about his last memories with his son and said, “He really struggled out there… It was not working out for him (in All Japan Pro Wrestling). So, he wanted to go to WrestleMania and I brought him back…”
The reigning SmackDown women’s champion shared her dream with her brother, who was even crazier about WWE. Flair explained how her brother also had a dream of becoming a WWE wrestler. However, he failed the drug test to get into WWE.
Charlotte Flair said, “At the same time, Ried had been in and out of rehab. The drug was heroin. He failed the first drug test, to get into the WWE.”
Reid Flair passed away on March 29, 2013, at the tender age of 25. After multiple drug encounters, on that day, Reid Flair’s heart gave in to a drug overdose. This tragedy created a deep void for both Charlotte and Ric Flair.

Charlotte Flair broke into tears and explained what she went through on that day. “The morning that, my dad called me, to tell me that Reid had ODed. I don’t know… even to this day, I’d put it in a drawer and just close the drawer. Like how do you… (It’s) your brother right?..” said ‘The Queen’.

Reid Flair pursued his luck with the All Japan Pro Wrestling and made his debut in 2013. However, he wanted to get back to WWE but sadly his journey to get to the biggest sports entertainment company was cut short tragically.
