CM Punk Reaches Out to “Heartbroken” Alexander Volkanovski After UFC 298

WWE Superstar CM Punk was interviewed by Caroline Pearce of TNT Sports on February 17th. The clip was uploaded with the tweet, “WWE superstar @CMPunk reacts after a blockbuster #UFC298 event and discusses his comeback from injury ✨.In the clip available on X, CM Punk delivered a heartfelt message for former UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski after the latter’s loss at UFC 298 main event. Punk said, “My heart goes out to Alexander Volkanovski, to me he’s still a champion

This was Volkanovski’s first loss in the featherweight division after five successful title defences starting in 2019. With this loss, his reign as the champion has ended and his record now stands at 26-4-0.

Punk tried his hands in the UFC welterweight division after he left WWE in 2014. So, he was able to associate with the loss of Volkanovski who lost his match to Ilia Topuria via second-round knock-out. Punk is currently out of WWE due to an injury he sustained during his appearance on Royal Rumble and will miss WrestleMania XL.
