The upcoming WrestleMania 40 is shaping up to be a grand spectacle. Fans are witnessing a superhero movie-esque team-up in which Roman Reigns is looking for allies and so is Cody Rhodes. The Tribal Chief’s biggest ally who also happens to be Rhodes’ biggest hurdle ahead of the WrestleMania is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. At the Elimination Chamber PLE, Rhodes had sent an open warning to the Brahma Bull. It looks like fans will get to see an epic showdown soon.

Cody Rhodes set to face Dwayne Johnson

If the word is to be trusted, WWE is working to make it possible for the American Nightmare to have an appearance on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. For this week’s episode, both Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson are confirmed to be a part of the show. However, this would be the first time Rhodes would come face-to-face against Johnson since he has been declared an official member of the Bloodline.

After openly challenging The Rock at the 2024 Elimination Chamber, Paul Heyman confronted Rhodes on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. There, Heyman instructed him to withdraw his challenge or else he will tell the guards accompanying him to attack Rhodes. Adrenaline was rushing through Rhodes’ blood when he declared that he would be coming after every member of the Bloodline and the first one on his target was Johnson.
