Shazam! Fury of the Gods avoids any references to Dwayne Johnson
With its release on 17 March 2023, “Shazam! Fury of The Gods” took the box office by storm, as fans are craving superhero entertainment. The film stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, along with a cast of decorated actors. In comics, the story of the titular character, Billy Batson is interlinked with the character of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam since they’re two sides of the same coin.

Naturally, fans of the former WWE wrestler expected some Easter eggs and references about Black Adam, in the latest installment. Even though they did acknowledge the characters’ existence, fans won’t be too happy with the way they did it. To their disappointment, the makers only included a subtle nod to the characters sharing the same universe in the mid-credits scene towards the end.
