Bryan Danielson took an indirect shot at WWE

The AEW stable Blackpool Combat Club cut a promo at this week’s AEW Dynamite. The team first brutally assaulted Adam ‘Hangman’ Page and then Bryan Danielson took an indirect shot at WWE.

During the promo, Danielson started off by calling him and his fellows the best wrestlers on the entire AEW roster and then he put his focus on Vince McMahon’s company.

Danielson during his days at WWE

During his time at WWE, Bryan Danielson was popular under a slightly different name of Daniel Bryan. His signature ‘Yes chants’ still echo around the arena at times. During his final days, Danielson feuded with the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns and Edge in the Universal championship pursuit.

He was booked against Roman Reigns for the championship match thrice but failed to capture the title each time. On May 4, 2021, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan then) competed in his final WWE match.

It was rumored that the WWE tried its best to make him sign a new contract, but since the ‘Yes Man’ wasn’t satisfied with his role, he left the company and joined AEW.

It is not the first time that an AEW star has taken a shot at WWE. Several stars have gone after WWE during AEW programming to do this. What is your take on this? Do you also agree with Bryan Danielson? Tell us in the comments section.
