Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Rae would address this incident, and reveal Natalya’s moment of weakness. She stated, “I slapped her (Natalya) and I was ready. I was ready for her to deck me. I was ready for her to completely hit me and she stood there frozen. And she just was like. And they had to edit the clip because it was so long.”

Further, she would state, “It was so weird. I couldn’t believe it. Natty Neidhart from the dungeon, shocked, stuffed. And she goes, ‘You get off my property!’ and she kind of like half pushes me, like so weak. It was the weirdest half push and I kind of trip. And I’m like get serious, and I walk to my car.”

Although Summer Rae was informed of the slap, Natalya was unaware of it, and it left her shocked, and unable to react. And, soon after the scene was over, Summer Rae would rush to Natalya and apologize to her.

The slap had left Natalya stunned, and unable to react. Summer Rae would reveal in her above interview with Chris Van Vliet, how she would later apologize to the WWE legend. She said, “I walk to my car. And I pull off, and they hit cut. And then I back up and Russell comes out of the bushes, and everyone comes out of the bushes, and I’m like, ‘He told me to! oh my god! He told me to!’ And she was like, ‘No its okay!’ and I am like, ‘I’m so sorry!’ And at this point, I had only been on the main-roster for a year, maybe not even.”

The 39-year-old stated that despite being shocked at being slapped, Natalya kept her calm and did not react to newcomer Rae. She would accept her apology and let the incident pass by.
