Tuesday Night Wrestling shows were as competitive as expected by the fans. After putting up two fantastic shows, there was little to separate the two promotions. However, there was one clear distinction between the two promotions as AEW outdid  WWE on the initial promise they made.

To take on WWE’s special show on October 10th, Tony Khan came up with a unique area of competition. During the telecast, he over-achieved his promise while WWE failed to fulfill the promise.

Just hours before the AEW Dynamite show, AEW’s president Tony Khan made a special announcement on X for the show. He promised the first thirty minutes of the show to be commercial-free, probably to tease WWE’s announcement of a similar nature.

While WWE’s first commercial appeared after 29 minutes (a minute short of their promise), AEW Dynamite went commercial-free for 45 minutes. It was 15 minutes more than Tony Khan’s initial promise, but wrestling fans have nothing to complain about from the Tuesday Night Wrestling War.

While WWE decided to make the show a star-studded affair, AEW took a different route by putting multiple championship matches on the line. The most notable matches were WWE Women’s Championship match between Saraya and Hikaru Shida, and AEW International Championship match between Rey Fenix and Orange Cassidy. Tony Khan did not forget to remind fans about the title matches in his tweet.

Tony Khan hits two birds with one tweet last night

Tony Khan’s tweet last night was his last ditch attempt at promoting the show for the Mega Wrestling War this Tuesday night. However, his tweet was supposedly a sly dig at WWE Creative Head Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Regardless, he delivered on his promise.

His tweet read, “I have a message for them: See you TONIGHT at a special Tuesday Night #AEWDynamite: Title Fight Tuesday. At 8 pm ET/7 pm CT on @TBSNetwork. At least the first 30 Minutes Are Commercial-Free, + a big overrun TONIGHT!” The tweet had a picture with supposedly a message for Triple H and Shawn Michaels that read, “Bald A**hole”. Both former DX members once had long hairs, but now turned bald due to ageing.
