Get ready to unleash your inner Kurt Angle, because WWE 2K24 is bringing back the heat with a sizzling new feature. It was last seen in WWE 2K19. This spicy detail, revealed by Visual Concepts producer and game designer Bryan Williams on Twitter, may seem like a minor tweak, but for die-hard wrestling fans, it’s a nostalgic goldmine.

A minor update to bring back nostalgia for Attitude Era fans

Bryan Williams, an employee at Visual Concepts, who has worked on the WWE 2K24 game, took to X on January 30th to post an update on the soon-to-be-released game.

I’ve got a public service announcement for those looking forward to the new WWE game. In WWE 2K24, you’ll once again be able to lower the singlet straps of CERTAIN Superstars during a match. Emphasis on the word “Certain.” It’s a small thing, but I just wanted to share. Thanks.

Though it’s not a major update, the special action may help gamers experience the game on a more intrinsic level. Lowering the strap is an act that is often performed by wrestlers wearing a wrestling singlet. Though the attire has been worn by many wrestlers in the past, it was made popular among modern wrestling fans by Kurt Angle. Among the current set of superstars, Bron Breakker and Chad Gable are also known to wear a singlet.

Now, the small update in the game may help the gamers and fans to play out their nostalgic moment from The Attitude Era when the Olympian would pull down his straps to pump up. It was one of his signature taunts, similar to Hulk Hogan hulking up. Bron Breakker has a similar taunt among the current roster of superstars.

This is one of many updates announced by the WWE 2K24 team for the edition which is to be released on 5th March 2024. In another release, WWE revealed some major updates in the game from their previous versions as they re-introduced iconic match types.
