In the current landscape of WWE, there are few stars who have such mainstream appeal as the Bella Twins. Debuting way back in 2008, the twins were a crucial part of the women’s roster. But it wasn’t until the Divas Championship era that they got the most spotlight. When Nikki Bella won the title, WWE went full ahead with her push as a reality TV series around them and other stars created titled Total Divas.

After a while, the twins left that show and had their own show, Total Bellas. This show not only became a treasure trove for WWE fans but also had massive mainstream fans. Because of it, many people got into watching wrestling as well. But now The Bellas have changed their popular name and it led to some fan backlash.

The Bella Twins take their leave from WWE

After being in the company for over 15 years, the Bella Twins have finally announced their exit from WWE. While they haven’t been wrestling in the ring, they have been making WWE money through a lot of shows.

The Bellas had to change the name because the intellectual property is owned by WWE. So after separating from them, the twins can’t continue going by the same name. The reason for the name change could be the recent video that the twins posted bashing the company for the lack of women’s representation at RAW XXX. Or, it could be that they want to cut off WWE from taking the cut from their reality TV shows.

While others think that they are finally going to restart Total Bellas, but change the name.
