WWE has seen a number of factions rise and fall in its history. The Judgment Day is one such faction that rose up with the past generation of wrestlers but is still carried on today. However, despite the success that its members have found, fans still don’t consider it their favorite. This truth emerged when Finn Balor recently posted a picture of an old faction on his social media.

When the wrestler posted a picture of the legendary WWE faction, D-Generation X, fans started hating on The Judgment Day. The reason behind this was hidden in plain sight as the picture was edited with subtle hints, showing that Balor was comparing his own team with the DX.

What was the comparison about?

Finn Balor recently took to his Instagram with an edited picture. The post was initially edited by Maurice Mataban, who is famous among fans for his wrestling and MMA memes. In the picture, we can see the DX faction standing together, but the title belts are different. The championships that they are holding are the current ones held by The Judgment Day. If that wasn’t enough of a comparison to anger the fans, Balor took it one step further.

In the post, Balor considered himself Shawn Michaels. Moreover, he tagged Damian Priest in Triple H‘s position. Rhea Ripley was tagged in Chyna’s position while Dominik Mysterio took up X-Pac’s position in the group photo.

This comparison, although deemed hilarious by many, didn’t sit right with some fans. Consequently, there was some visible retaliation in the comment section of the post.

Although the post was most probably made just for fun, DX fans took the reference to another level, resulting in online conflict.

WWE fans riot under Rhea Ripley’s group picture

What started off as a meme, turned into a hot topic of debate among fans.

One hardcore Rhea Ripley supporter commented, “Priest only has a briefcase because he was owed a favor for the Bad Bunny March. Dom is a nepo baby with a pity belt. You are boring as hell outside of your demon persona. Rhea is the only one that deserves the props.”

Here, the fan is talking about how nobody in The Judgment Day is deserving of being compared to DX except Rhea Ripley. They list the reason for everything, including how Dominik’s superstar father is the reason why he is in this spot.

While The Judgment Day is the biggest heel faction currently, fans still don’t think they’re worthy of the honor. Fans have clearly declared how The Judgment Day is inferior to Triple H’s old faction. “Pls dont mix the good old days with your current ass bullshit faction,” one fan said.

Another fan said, “DX was far better than this any day,” hinting that if they still existed, Triple H’s faction would’ve outperformed all of them.

Some comments even tried telling Balor that his faction would never reach the level that DX did. “No absolutely not not even close. You’ll never reach that level that they did,” one fan said.

Another fan said that The Judgment Day wasn’t even in the top 10 of all time. “No where near DX Judgment Day, not even in the top 10 of all time,” they said.

Then, at last, some WWE fans even stood up to defend Shawn Michaels when Finn Balor tried to compare himself with the WWE legend. “Nope. Shawn would at least have a world title and Hunter would have at least the IC belt or European title. Not a tag title, a briefcase and a developmental title,” one fan said, taking issue with the fact that the picture was edited with different belts.
