Interestingly, ‘Jabroni’ was one word that always stood out. While the pro wrestling community used the word as a slang, a recent development has given it official recognition.
On Tuesday, Dictionary.com added 600 words to their official list. One of the words added was The Rock’s very own Jabroni.
The official definition of the noun will be ”a stupid, foolish, or contemptible person; loser.” Interestingly, there is a second definition as well – one that pertains particularly to professional wrestling.
The definition is enhancement talent or jobber; a wrestler that loses on purpose against the top or upcoming Superstars to build up the latter’s status and fame.
The Rock took to Twitter to react to this big moment. He jokingly said that his teachers would be proud of him.
Wow – very cool!
Honored have a word actually make the dictionary.
