Dwayne Johnson’s Father Reveals Which One Of His Millionaire Son’s Blockbuster Movies He Would’ve Liked To Star In

Dwayne Johnson has had tremendous success in Hollywood. A former third-generation WWE star, ‘The Rock’ is one of the richest actors in the world today. His father Rocky Johnson, a former WWE tag team champion, once spoke of The Rock’s growing Hollywood career. He also talked about which movie he would’ve liked to star in with his son.

Rocky Johnson himself was a distinguished pro wrestler having won championships in NWA and WWE. ‘The Rock’ emulated his father and became a pro wrestler, making his WWE debut in 1996.

Since then, ‘The Great One’ has gone to Hollywood and is one of the most popular actors today.

His late father talked about the type of movies his son did, saying he wasn’t into the high-action movies the actor did at that time.

Rocky Johnson picked out his favorite movie to star in with Dwayne Johnson

The former NWA television champion, Rocky Johnson, said he liked more grounded movies such as ‘Game Plan’ starring his son.

In an interview with ‘Hannibal TV’, Johnson says he never liked action movies like ‘Fast and the Furious’, despite the money it made Dwayne Johnson.

When asked about which movie he would like to star in with his son, one that was already released, he replied, “I would play the one with that with the kids football team. He started that because he worked with the kids […] that were in that detention center, you know, they had dr*g problems.”

“They came from broken homes so they really didn’t have a chance in life and it was his job to try and change their life around and you know that was based on the true story”.

He continued, “You know like I’ve taken this kid and I’ve helped him, made something out of him and look at him now, … he’s a wrestler, now he’s a pro football player cuz they show you all that at the end and they show this guy goes back to the gang, this one gets killed in the drive-by shooting, this one goes back and kills a stepfather but you can’t change the whole world what I like those kind of movies where you’re helping people”.

He is obviously talking about one of The Rock’s earlier movies, the 2006 flick ‘Gridiron Gang’. The movie featured ‘The Brahma Bull’ in a lead role playing the character Sean Porter. He features as a probation officer at a detention center for juveniles and hopes to drag them away from the world of crime and drugs.

For this, he forms a football team comprising the young inmates. He hopes through the game they gain a purpose and respect in society.

However, the movie didn’t do great at the box office. But since then, ‘The Great One’ has seen much more success on the big screen. He has been a part of hit franchises such as ‘Fast and Furious’, and ‘Jumanji’ among others. The WWE Hall of Famer will next star in DC’s ant0-hero film ‘Black Adam’.
