The WWE management had a few surprises up their sleeves for the fans during the Royal Rumble weekend. One of the surprises that the first PLE of the year brought its fans was during the men’s Royal Rumble event. As a result, the audience saw Charlotte Flair‘s life partner return to the promotion that he left back in 2021. And now, WWE is already planning what to do with him moving forward.

WWE may not be planning a lot of change for Andrade

Andrade El Idolo debuted in the wrestling industry as a babyface. Over the years, fans have also seen him having a heel alignment. However, in 2023, he returned to being a ‘face’ again and now, it seems WWE will be continuing the things as they are.

After almost three years of running an independent circuit, Andrade El Idolo returned to WWE. New reports also suggest that the Stamford-based company has already given his future a thought. According to these reports from PW Insider, fans should get ready to see the former ‘free agent’ become a babyface on Monday Night Raw.

Although the wrestler had already signed with the red brand on the first Monday that came after Royal Rumble, this time around, we are getting to know that he could be back as a ‘babyface’.

The leading wrestling promotion has a chance at creating Idolo’s gimmick from scratch. So, even if they are continuing his face alignment, that doesn’t mean that his character wouldn’t be new to see. At the end of the day, the ball is in WWE’s court to decide whether they want Andrade to continue his current gimmick or change it up a bit for fans.

Much like a few other couples who wrestle together in the same promotion, Andrade and his wife also showed the same promise on day one of his return.

During the final days of 2023, Charlotte Flair suffered a severe injury to the knee during a live show. After she was taken into care, WWE updated that the former Women’s Champion wouldn’t be back for a wrestling match until September this year as she needs to recover first. However, she showed her glimpse in WWE backstage before her husband stepped into the arena.

In a video shot backstage, we can see ‘The Queen’ taking her of her ‘king’ and getting him ready before his big moment. She can be seen supporting Andrade by applying tanner on him before his big return while a cast is still around her injured knee.

This shows the promise that since Andrade is now a babyface, and we can see them working together in the promotion even before Flair’s return, they may even get to team up once the latter comes back.
