Former WWE Star Takes Hilarious Dig at a Fan for Choosing to Side With SummerSlam Over AEW Collision

WWE enjoys one of the biggest fan following in the world of sports entertainment. However, the elite wrestling promotion has also had its rivals. WWE often witnesses the trade of comments, attacks, and even wrestlers with its rival companies. The pursuit of supremacy in the world of pro wrestling is never-ending. Following a similar pattern of banter and comebacks, a tweet from a former WWE member has created a lot of ripples.

 A comment posted by one of WWE’s fans gave birth to the tug of war. The fan was a notable content creator on Twitch and YouTube who is also a fan of wrestling. The fan had strongly commented on one of the promotional posts of rival company AEW. Responding to the miscreant, a former WWE wrestler took a dig at the fan.

Low on words, high on impact

 WWE and AEW run their shows and events almost simultaneously. Both companies are cut-throat rivals and fight for viewership more often than not. Collision is the AEW counterpart of WWE’s SummerSlam. Both Collision and SummerSlam were scheduled to air around the same time. The fan, however, tweeted that the AEW CEO, Tony Khan, will watch SummerSlam over AEW Collision.

The content creator’s tweet flocked the tweets of several fans from both sides of the camp. However, one response to the tweet stood out the most. It is often said that the mouthpiece matters more than the message sometimes. This was a similar case where the mouthpiece was none other than former WWE Superstar Scott Dawson

Scott Dawson is currently signed with the AEW under the ring name Dax Harwood. The ace wrestler made quick work of the comment made by sending a solid one-word answer, “Lol.” We know Dax Harwood as a man of action. He earned a shrewd reputation for his sharp and witty personality.

By dismissing the comment with a single word, the wrestler sent a message that this was all the attention he deserved. But how did both marquee events from the two most popular wrestling promotions fare against each other?

WWE SummerSlam goes head to head against AEW Collision 

WWE SummerSlam garnered a massive reception with the WWE Universe on the 5th of August. They filled the event with several power-packed matches that thoroughly entertained the audience. The highly anticipated matches of stars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Asuka. Cody Rhodes won the match and also won everyone’s hearts. However, the AEW Collision wasn’t far behind, and Dax Harwood was one wrestler at the helm of making it successful. 

Apart from Harwood, the event also featured the AEW Champion CM Punk, who is also a former WWE Champion. The WWE and AEW constantly get into such clashes, and their loyal fans also fully support both companies.
