The 12/1 episode of SmackDown was an enthralling one. Fans witnessed The Viper Randy Orton return to the blue brand. This in turn led to a series of unexpected and exciting events. However, what was more unexpected and exciting was Randy Orton delivering his signature RKO to the SmackDown general manager, Nick Aldis. A couple of days after the incident, someone close to Aldis shared their shock on social media.

Someone is not happy with Randy Orton

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), former WWE Women’s Champion and Nick Aldis’s wife, Mickie James-Aldis remarked upon the incident. Aldis had posted a picture on his social media where he was seen raising Orton’s hand in the air, which was moments before the RKO. With the caption, It was all going so well…” Aldis hinted at something coming up for The Apex Predator. Mrs. Aldis decided to join the bandwagon and shared a snippet of information along with her anger.

Although it could be understood that her tweet was poking fun at the incident, it would still be interesting for the fans to know what the idea for the t-shirt was. On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Orton signed with the blue brand. He is now a permanent member of SmackDown and will be seen regularly on the weekly show.

Randy Orton’s signing was not that smooth

Earlier in the episode, fans got an idea that the signing wouldn’t be as smooth as everybody wanted it to be. A furious Paul Heyman had stormed into the office of Aldis earlier in the episode. He demanded an explanation for Aldis’s attempt to sign Orton. Aldis gave him a stern reply by saying that there was nothing Heyman and his Tribal Chief Roman Reigns could do about it and he would get him signed. Later on, Adam Pearce also joined the race to get Randy Orton. However, during the segment when Orton was supposed to choose either of the brands, the Bloodline gate crashed the party.

Orton was overwhelmed by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso as the two ambushed him out of thin air. When all hope seemed lost, LA Knight entered the ring and took Sikoa with him and Orton knocked out Uso with an RKO. Following this, Orton signed the contract for SmackDown and declared to Heyman that he was now here and that he should inform Roman Reigns that “Daddy is home.” What do you think of the events that unfolded at this week’s SmackDown? Do you think Orton delivering an RKO to Aldis was necessary? Do you think this will affect their relationship in the future?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
