A few days ago, WWE held WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cody Rhodes, who won against Roman Reigns to win the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, headlined the Show of Shows. Thus ending a two-year plot since his return to this company in 2022.

And in the buildup to this run, he stayed the all-classy babyface that he is. However, it seems like finally he has acknowledged and addressed the haters (or Roman Reigns fans) as he took to Twitter, breaking character for his savvy retort..

Recently a Twitter user uploaded a CGI video on X that features Cody Rhodes rapping on stage, a message to his haters as he rose to stardom. And it seems like the Royal Rumble winner found the video hilarious as he decided to repost it on his profile. But he simply did not click repost and move on. Instead, he had a message along with it. A message where he finally addressed Roman Reigns fans (or Stans) and revealed how he has love for them. He wrote, “The build to Mania’ was such an intense ride and the bloodline stans challenged me. I met that challenge – so in my own way I got love for them”

It’s fun to see him take a shot toward his haters for once. The new Universal champion has taken a page out of the Rock who made sure to mention the ‘Cody Crybabies’ every chance he got. And while Rhodes might have some love for his haters as well, he also has a lot of it for his fellow wrestlers. Some of them came to the ring to celebrate his big win on Mania. And Cody Rhodes recently highlighted the importance of celebrating at WrestleMania with the rest of the superstars.

The American Nightmare opens up on his big WrestleMania celebration

In the Showcase of the Immortals, Cody Rhodes achieved a milestone by defeating Roman Reigns and being crowned the new WWE Champion. Following this victory, Rhodes had the opportunity to celebrate in the ring with a host of superstars. Including Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, John Cena, and even Randy Orton, among other prominent names. Cody Rhodes was recently asked about this reception and expressed that it was a memorable moment for him. He admitted that he didn’t expect the presence of figures like Orton or John Cena. In addition, he highlighted the importance of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for his career in WWE.

He said, “Kevin Owens is a huge part of my journey, I wouldn’t have been able to meet the guys I met and do the things that we would do without him. Sami was a huge part of my journey last year with the budding rivalry and him having the opportunity at Elimination Chamber.”

He further added, “I didn’t think I would see Randy because he would probably get on his bus and he’s Randy. To have the guy who took me under his wing and I got to watch be a champion. That was amazing. I drove Cena around for almost two years. Learned everything I possibly could from him. But didn’t know I was learning because we were having such a good time. There is nobody who carried WWE, until Roman, like John Cena. My family. LA Knight. A lot of victims of the Bloodline.” Well, it sure looks like Rhodes enjoys a lot of locker-room love. Something he should be proud of, considering how other promotions are coming under hot water for revealing to the world how their wrestlers are at loggerheads backstage. What did you think of the celebration? What did you make of the former AEW star thanking Roman Reigns’ fans? Let us know in the comments.
