WWE legend Hulk Hogan was an unrivaled star in the promotion during his heydays in the 1980s. His charisma and star power meant he was untouched at the top of the WWE mountain.

His prolonged stay in the main event meant he rubbed many people the wrong way and had his ups and downs with many wrestlers over the years. A star who can be on Hogan’s level and popularity even when Hulkamania was running wild, is two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

A massive star first in NWA and then WCW, Ric Flair was the exact opposite of Hogan but held the same star power. The two legends crossed paths in WWE at the peak of their popularity but never got to wrestle on a big stage during this time.

Over the years, there have been many rumors hinting at friction between these two icons. But in his recent podcast episode, The Nature Boy quashed those rumors and opened up on his relationship with the Hulkster.

Ric Flair said he is better friends with Hulk Hogan today

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair have wrestled each other across their promotions through decades. The two icons had matches in WWE, WCW, and Impact Wrestling!

During their WWE tenure in the early 90s, the legendary pro wrestlers had many house show matches but fans never got to see a full-blown out feud between them on a bigger stage.

In WCW, they wrestled a few matches and spent a lot of time working together. As with any two stars of their stature, there has always been speculation about whether there was animosity between Flair and Hogan.

The two had contrasting styles, both in and outside the ring. Moreover, many people think that Hogan may have avoided going toe-to-toe with Flair during their WWE run. But Flair gave a totally different insight into his relationship Hogan as well as another WWE legend, Kevin Nash.

Speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, Flair said, “To this day I am probably better friends with Hulk right now, and Kevin [Nash], than I ever have been. […]Yeah, I stay very, I mean, we don’t talk every day but I mean Kevin and I talked and linked right after his son passed away. I mean, those are the kind of conversations that mean something. The Golden Stallion also mentioned that Hogan’s words in his Peacock documentary about him were really nice.

The 73-year-old Flair commented, “Could Hulk have been better to me in the documentary? He couldn’t have said anything better, could he? Yeah, and he didn’t have to do that. Kevin Nash didn’t have to talk nice.” These two legends are the cornerstones of pro wrestling and will feature in any conversation about the greats of the industry.

They wrestled in multiple promotions and had many run-ins with each other as their legacies transcended sports entertainment. And although there may have been some problems between them in the past, Ric Flair’s words suggest that all is well between the two titans of the industry.
