“He Was Into, ‘I Want Money’”: The Ultimate Warrior Slammed for Being a ‘Bad Top Star’ as Compared to John Cena, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Others
John Cena‘s legend almost got over before it even began. This is because WWE had plans to fire him that he was aware of. However, The Prototype’s dedication and hard work kept him going inside the promotion and he eventually rose to become one of the most loved figures in WWE history. Such dedication is hard to find, especially when you have to create opportunities for yourself.
When a WWE Hall of Famer was offered great opportunities, according to another prominent WWE figure Bruce Prichard, he did not take it. Prichard is still upset about this to date. Let’s see how Prichard compared John Cena and other WWE legends to the late Ultimate Warrior.

Recently on his show, ‘Something To Wrestle’, Prichard talked about how ‘top guys’ in a division or promotion aren’t given everything on a platter. Instead, becoming a superstar takes every ounce of dedication, hard work, and sacrifice. Although the company may want to push a few stars based on their potential, no good will come unless they are dedicated to the cause.
According to Prichard, The Ultimate Warrior was among the latter kind, while all the other WWE legends fall in the former category.

While taking Warrior as an example of a ‘bad’ top star, Prichard went on to say, “He [The Ultimate Warrior] was into ‘I want the money. I want the notoriety. But I really don’t care about anything else.’ A guy like, you know, Cena, Austin, Brock, Hunter, Foley. Those guys always wanted to be ‘the guy’. And they wanted everything that came with it. But they wanted to be the best.”
To answer people who wonder how The Undertaker remained a ‘top star’ for so long, Prichard explained, “Because Taker, was taken. It was a gimmick, but he lived the gimmick. He sacrificed… Yes, you had to be committed to be ‘the guy’.”

A couple of weeks ago, Hulk Hogan took to Instagram to share something he felt. The wrestling legend ended up sharing a brief list of people who are his favorites and have also been his tag-team partners in the past. The list included five names. However, despite partnering up with The Warrior for a brief time, Hogan did not put his name on the list.
