

WWE is one of the most well-known professional wrestling organizations in the world. Many people dream of working for the company. Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell, on the other hand, once turned down Vince McMahon’s proposal for him to be a producer.
Dutch Mantell aka Zeb Colter has been part of the wrestling world for almost 5 decades. During a recent interview with WSI, Mantell was questioned if WWE had ever approached him to become an agent.

He responded by saying, “I have been asked I turned it down because I have a pet peeve of mine is getting cussed out about every 15 minutes. I never soften to that approach, but you know, and Vince, he’s so volatile. He’s going, goddamn, he drove stuff. I mean, but I just never could operate in an environment like that.”
“Hey give me some ideas. I’ll give you some ideas, but if I give you an idea, don’t just throw your hands up in the air and say that’s the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard. I even heard Vince say the worst idea is one that’s not pitched. So pitch it but sometimes a lot of them are afraid to even pitch anything because they’re fearful of Vince’s reaction to it,” Mantell added.

Over the years, Dutch Mantell has worked behind the scenes for several independent wrestling promotions. WWE asked him about being an agent around this time. However, he declined since he does not enjoy working at the company because of the stressful work environment.
Furthermore, he stated that the creative crew is the most ignored and underappreciated aspect of a wrestling business, as the creatives can make the average wrestler look spectacular and the greatest wrestler terrible.

Mr.McMahon planned to follow in his father’s footsteps and enter the professional wrestling business. Mr. McMahon aspired to be a professional wrestler but was denied by his father, so he became a WWE official.
