For every fan, embarrassing themselves in front of their idols—whom they have grown up watching—would be one of the worst nightmares. Everyone wants to present the greatest possible version of themselves to someone whom they look up to. It’s interesting to note that a Hollywood star once felt embarrassed in front of his hero, none other than Dwayne Johnson.
Speaking to Graham Norton in December of the last year, ‘Jungle Cruise’ star Jack Whitehall made an interesting admission: Emily Blunt was involved in his embarrassing incident, in which she showed a sketch Whitehill had made for The Rock as a kid.

Speaking on the show back in December 2021, Whitehill discussed a talent he has had since he was a youngster: sketching. Notably, Whitehall was a huge admirer of The Rock while he was WWE Superstar in his childhood. So, like any other fanboy, he became completely obsessed with his idol, and because he loved to draw, he used to make dozens of drawings of The Rock.
Moreover, he admitted that he once found his sketchbook in which he had drawn pictures of The Rock before sending them to Blunt, which turned out to be the cause of his embarrassment. He stated, “I found my sketchbook from when I was at school and in it there were some drawings, some sketches that I done of The Rock.”
“Because I was that obsessed with him… I was like maybe 13-14. It was my art project at school and I drew loads of pictures of The Rock. And I sent them to Emily Blunt. I said please don’t tell him obviously, she sends them straight to him.”
Dwayne Johnson was unaware that Whitehill had drawn the sketches as a teen
Norton subsequently questioned him over if The Rock was aware that the drawings were from his childhood. In response, he said, “Oh my god. No, maybe he doesn’t. I don’t know whether she made like I’ve just gone home from the shoot. And I have been sketching and sending him that I really miss you. No, I did this as a child, not as a grown man. That just really freaked me out.”

The ‘Jungle Cruise’ star said in a joke that he would text Johnson right away to clarify that it was from his childhood, and not a recent one. Indeed, sending the photo to Blunt backfired on him since she never misses an opportunity to make fun of The Rock, and this time was no exception. Meanwhile, after watching their camaraderie in the Jungle Cruise, fans are eager to see the Trio in action once again.
