He first dominated pro wrestling, setting several records, before moving on to Hollywood, where he produced some great blockbusters. Not just in his work career, he even has a record for nearly everything he has done, even taking selfies.

It is common knowledge that DJ adores and often engages with his fans. It’s interesting to note that in 2015, he set a global record for selfies with his fans. At the premiere of his movie San Andreas, he and 105 fans broke the record for the most selfies shot in three minutes.

The year 2015 was the most popular for selfies. Along with the DJ, socialite Kim Kardashian also made news for her selfie book, ‘Selfies’, which she released. The E-news reporter questioned The Great One about if he intended to publish a selfie book like Kim Kardashian given that Johnson has already set a record for selfies.

To that, DJ replied, “Here’s a thing you don’t need a book when you are in the books of Guinness Book of World Records. That’s the thing I got a record.”

Moreover, the reporter then inquires more about DJ’s intention to surpass Kim as the selfie king. Johnson states, “Beat her at what-but she can’t be selfie king, she’s selfie queen. You gotta understand when you’re in the Guinness book of world Records you don’t care about a book.”

Through the posting of photos and videos, The Rock has also amassed a sizable social media following. Notably, he set a global record by taking more than 100 selfies in 3 minutes while promoting his film San Andreas while walking down the red carpet.

Guinness World Record states, “Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson has set a new Guinness World Records title for the Most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes, at the world premiere of his new film San Andreas at London’s Odeon Leicester Square.”

Mark McKinley, an assessor for Guinness World Records, made sure they complied with the regulations for taking selfies, which included making sure all the participants’ faces and necks could be seen and that the photos were focused, had recognized features, and were free of blur.
