On January 4, 2022, WWE star Logan Paul joined his fellow influencer friend, KSI, and launched a brand new sports drink that would fetch them millions. Prime gained popularity right off the bat due to Paul and KSI’s influence on the internet. In fact, it later became UFC’s official sports drink, becoming a stable cash cow for the duo.

However, a health expert has urged the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to scrutinize the brand as it apparently poses a health threat to millions of consumers, especially those belonging to the younger demographic. Earlier, during Logan Paul’s WrestleMania match against Seth Rollins, Prime received extensive advertising.

Logan Paul shared glad tidings with his fans by getting engaged to his best friend, Nina Agdal but he found a fly in his ointment. Since its inception, Prime has been no fad. It received significant advertising. And, among young people, it has become somewhat of a status symbol.

According to a report by The Associated Press, Senator Charles Schumer has summoned the FDA to examine the contents of the drink, which reportedly has around 200 milligrams of caffeine per 12-ounce serving. Reports have suggested that one bottle of Prime equals six Coke bottles. However, its advertisement suggests that it contains zero sugar and was vegan.

While offering his take on Prime, Schumer stated, “One of the summer’s hottest status symbols for kids is not an outfit, or a toy—it’s a beverage, but buyer and parents beware because it’s a serious health concern for the kids it so feverishly targets.”

It is also important to note that due to the beverage’s high caffeine content, schools in the UK and Australia have banned it. In Prime’s defense, its representatives argued that it is “not recommended for children under 18”. They further pointed out that “Prime Hydration” is an appropriate drink for children as it contains no caffeine.

Schumer countered that there was no distinction between the two drinks’ marketing strategies. This prompted the parents of the younger customers to buy the version of Prime that contains caffeine.

All in all, it remains to be seen how Logan Paul tackles the ongoing predicament amidst the happiest day of his life.

Logan Paul is officially off the market

The Youtuber-turned-wrestler has been dating the Danish model since May last year. The couple was in Italy when Paul took Agdal by surprise by getting down on one knee and proposing to her.

Following their romantic moment, Paul took to Instagram and wrote, “Engaged to my best friend”. He also requested Elon Musk’s assistance in restoring his fiance’s Twitter account. Twitter suspended her account three years earlier. Paul received congratulatory messages from other well-known influencers.

Nevertheless, Logan Paul seems to be having a whale of a time with the love of his life. The 28-year-old star is currently feuding with Ricochet. The duo will most likely work a match at SummerSlam.
