John Cena is one of the most popular and successful WWE Superstars around. Over the years, he has achieved major success in whichever line of work he chose. However, he has not always had this form of success. During his early 20s, he started out as a competitive bodybuilder but did not taste much success.
Later, he would make a shift in his career and join professional wrestling. Joining pro wrestling turned out to be extremely profitable for him, and he reached massive heights in this career path. He would soon join WWE, and it would turn out to be an extremely fruitful decision for him.

However, behind his success, there was a major contribution from Vince McMahon. Currently, Cena is no more a full-timer with WWE and is instead fulfilling his Hollywood dreams. The 2006 action film, Marine starring John Cena, was executively produced by Vince McMahon. And, thus began the movie career of John Cena.
In a 2006 interview of John Cena with Howard Stern, it was revealed by Cena that his name is owned by WWE, and they receive a royalty from all his movies. Cena said, “I don’t mind kicking a percentage of my earnings to the person who gave me a chance and an opportunity.”

While many have a problem with such a thing, Cena did not mind. He believed Vince McMahon gave him fame, and thus he did not have any problem giving him a share of his profits and earnings. However, during the interview time, Cena had only one movie to his name.

But now, John Cena is a major Hollywood star, and WWE earns a massive amount of royalty from his name usage in movies and other Hollywood projects.

The 16-time World Champion, John Cena, is again joining hands with MCU and DCEU star, Idris Elba for one of his upcoming project. The duo of Cena and Elba would be teaming up together for an upcoming action film.
