If there was a corporate version of ‘Spring Cleaning’, WWE would take the prize. The company released an astounding number of Superstars in 2021. Some of the releases weren’t shocking, but some names left the entire WWE Universe confused and wondering why.

Of course, the company did not release all the Superstars at the same time. It happened over a period of February 2021 to November 2021.

Here is the list of talents WWE released in 2021

The following list includes every pro-wrestler whom WWE released from any type of contract, main roster or otherwise.

The company released a total of 80 pro-wrestlers from their contract between February 2021 and November 2021.

WWE has given a couple of reasons for the releases

A primary reason the company released the pro-wrestlers from their contract is budget cuts. They stated the same reason when they released pro-wrestler during the pandemic, and the same reason continued.

Apart from that, WWE revealed that the creative team couldn’t find potential storylines for the Superstars released. Therefore, it was better to let them go than keep them under contract if there wasn’t any way of using their talents.
