Hulk Hogan’s iconic rivalry against Andre The Giant changed the landscape of WWE. Back in the 70s and 80s, Hulk Hogan and The Giant became entertainment icons. Both of them were a recreation of The David and Goliath scenario. They attracted a lot of eyes to the WWE  when they were active.

Therefore, many saw Hogan as the handsome blonde hero. And saw The Giant as a fearsome creature that can’t be destroyed. However, in the latest series from WWE, Hogan explained how The Giant influenced him in several ways and shed tears for his old partner in crime.

Hulk Hogan opens up about his fiercest rival

In the latest hit series, WWE: Rivals, Hogan reminisced on the older times when he had his buddy, The Giant, by his side. Despite the rivalry inside the ring, the two became great friends and admired each other. In the show, Hogan described their storyline and said “There’s never gonna be two characters, that were built that way, for so long.”

The Hulk firmly believed

that they pushed each other to the top. Without the other, one would fail. Through this understanding, they developed a strong friendship. Hogan said “The credibility Andre had… The credibility he’s bestowed upon me, in such a beautiful storyline, that was real!”

Therefore, Terry Boulder thanks The Giant for his contribution to a classic WWE storyline, that will forever echo in the memory of fans.

Hulkster knew he had a special connection with Andre The Giant

Hulk Hogan also felt that they shared a special relationship during their careers in the WWF. As both of them had to battle each other on multiple occasions to come out the victor. During these scenarios, even though Andre The Giant was a reserved person, he opened up to Hollywood Hogan.

In the WWE: Rivals episode, Hogan said “ I could feel it. When he warmed up to me. I could feel it when he started liking it. I could feel it when he had respect for me. He didn’t do that with anybody. That was a different… different time that’s for sure.” Therefore, we know that these two shared a special bond with each other, even outside the ring.
