As soon as an update dropped from Jamie Foxx, who was battling health complications for months, The Rock was quick to drop his comment beneath the post. It highlighted his humane side and showed the bond the two share.

Emotional Jamie Foxx shares his journey, Dwayne Johnson promises special treatment
The Hollywood fraternity was left worried as reports emerged of Oscar-winning multi-faceted actor Jamie Foxx’s medical emergency in April. While the exact nature of his illness was not disclosed, Foxx’s daughter, Corrine, termed it a medical complication.

After surviving the scare for months, Foxx uploaded a video of himself on Instagram on Friday, wherein he spoke about his past and present physical condition. The 55-year-old, however, didn’t disclose the illness he grappled with.

“I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” Jamie Foxx said. He said he didn’t upload any video or photo of himself as he didn’t want others to see him suffering. “But I did go to hell and back,” the Django Unchained actor added.

Foxx even choked while recounting his experience, but informed that he was on his way back. On the other hand, Johnson had a message for his Hollywood peer. Shortly after Foxx’s video was uploaded, he commented: “I’m gonna bear hug the f**k outta you when I see you again 🐻 ❤️.”

It’s not surprising that Johnson reacted that way, given that the two actors share a camaraderie. When Johnson appeared as a guest on Foxx’s show– Off Script- Foxx introduced him as a “box-office bully”. This was a banter-filled take on Johnson’s ability to rake in big numbers for his films.
Meanwhile, Johnson wasn’t the only A-lister to wish his friend.

Another actor who has become synonymous with Johnson is popular comedian and actor Kevin Hart. He also commented on Foxx’s video. “This video just warmed my soul….Foxx you are needed man. We love you and we are forever with you. So glad to see my brother and so glad to see that you are in good spirits,” Hart said.

Apart from him, actor Will Smith spoke about the importance of Jamie Foxx in Hollywood. “Awww Man!! Who’s cuttin’ onions?? Love U Foxx!! Your Light Is Needed ‘n Appreciated Right Now!” he said.

Edris Elba, who fought Johnson in his Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw, said, “Thankful to see you bro, truly.”
And not just the movie industry, UFC Hall of Famer Jon Jones, who made a roaring comeback earlier this year, shared an emoji as his appreciation for the post.
