One of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, Dwayne Johnson is currently finding himself in deep water. With major losses in XFL and a box-office failure in Black Adam, Johnson now needs to overcome these to find success. However, prior to all of these, and even before the release of Black Adam, Johnson would send out a visible warning to one of his c0-stars, after he was spotted hanging out with Johnson’s Black Adam’s arch-nemesis.

Despite being one of the most popular stars in the industry, Johnson is known for his simple, and humble nature. Johnson’s co-star in Black Adam, Aldis Hodge once uploaded a picture of him alongside Zachary Levi back in 2021.

Levi is known for portraying Shazam, an arch-rival of Black Adam in the disbanded DCEU. After Hodge uploaded the picture alongside Levi playing golf, Johnson would invade the Instagram post, and speak his mind out. Hodge’s post said, “In a world where two superheroes collide at Topgolf, an epic battle is on the horizon.Who will conquer? Who will meet defeat? Who will throw their back out trying to swing a golf club way too damn hard???”

However, The Brahma Bull of WWE would use his wits, and write, ” I don’t care if it’s golf, cooking or haiku poetry – if you don’t beat Shazam’s a** – you’re never flying the Hawk Cruiser again!!” Hodge played Hawkman in Black Adam. And, Johnson would refer to that while hilariously taking a dig at the 36-year-old actor for hanging around with Levi.

Black Adam was released back in October 2022 but failed to make a mark at the box office, as well as on the critic’s minds. The film still has a low score of 38% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Shazam: Fury of Gods was released earlier this year but failed to meet the expectations of its prequel. However, while Shazam’s DCU future isn’t clear, Black Adam was removed from the rebooted Universe after the first film, and Johnson’s future in the DCU is currently at a halt.

Will Dwayne Johnson ever reprise his role as Black Adam in the DCEU?

After Black Adam’s major box-office failure and bad reception from the critics, Johnson’s career in the DCEU was cut short. It was confirmed by James Gunn, and Dwayne Johnson that Black Adam would not be returning to the newly rebooted DCU, at least not in the immediate future.

Just as Johnson had promised about the hierarchy of power changing in the DCEU, it certainly did but not in The Brahma Bull’s favor, James Gunn took over as the new CEO of the studios.
