‘The Phenom’ had his fair share of hardships
Back when ‘The Phenom’ was in his American Badass gimmick, he was invited to a late-night talk show called Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2003.
When Kimmel asked ‘Taker about his past before getting into wrestling, ‘Taker said that he worked at Hooters, and was in a lot of debt with several people.

“I worked at Hooters [bar] I collected a few debts here and there for a few years. There are some things I’m not too proud of, but you gotta do what you gotta do. At the end of the month, come up a little short so there are certain people out there, that will float you along but you need to pay them back.” he said.
