Notably, Taker was the most in-demand wrestler during his peak time, and any promoter would have perhaps paid Taker a huge amount.
But not even the biggest Vince McMahon rival, who for 83 weeks outperformed the WWE, ever contacted him. In a recent podcast, a brilliant mind like McMahon, Eric Bischoff explained why he never approach ‘Taker’, who was the best-selling wrestler.

Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart are two examples of WWE icons that left the organization at the zenith of their careers and, like them, many more left the company during its most challenging circumstances to join a rival organization. Fans consequently ponder why Bischoff never approached ‘The Undertaker’.
Answering this in his recent podcast, he stated, “I didn’t know, Undertaker personally, I’d never met him. Never been in the same room with him. At 1996, but I knew a lot of other people that were close to him and did know him pretty well. And all of them told me the same thing, is that Undertaker will never leave Vince McMahon.”
“He will be the last man standing in the WWE locker room if it comes to that. So it was never even a consideration or I never even gave it any thought.”

The Deadman has always remained loyal to McMahon, standing at The Boss’ side from the beginning of his professional life. Additionally, Taker’s devotion to his employer was well known within the organization and outside of it as well.

In his documentary, ‘The Last Ride,’ Undertaker discussed his working relationship with ‘The Big Man’; the former CEO. Speaking about it, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed how McMahon had influenced his life.

Taker said, “I can’t think of anybody more influential in my life other than my father, than Vince. He would be the first one to pat on your back, but also the first one to kick you on your a*s when you needed it. I love Vince to death. I would take a bullet for the man.”
