When you’re someone like Dwayne Johnson, a long vacation is much needed to unwind. But Johnson once revealed that he is a creature of habit. He pulled himself from a week-long vacation to go back home and do “simple things.”

His near-billionaire status is a testament to his commitment to constantly working. Even on the days when you catch him fishing, he is still working. 

That said, the Hollywood mogul once revealed that he took his first vacation in six years. What is more surprising is that he only stayed for two and a half days, despite the fact that it was supposed to be a week-long vacation. 

Dwayne Johnson appeared in an interview with Magic Radio in 2014 to promote his then-upcoming film, Hercules. During the interview, the interviewer inquired about Johnson’s leisure activities. The viewers were shocked to learn that Johnson had taken his first vacation in six years.

The Rock said, “I took my first vacation last week in six years. We were supposed to be there for a week. We were there for two and a half days. And I was like, ‘You know what, let’s go home’. ‘We got some work to do’. I’m terrible that way.”

Johnson further relayed that he went back home to do simple things. He continued, “But when I get home, by the way, I just do simple things. I just like doing simple things. Just watching TV; put my feet up.”

This just goes to show that Johnson cannot sit idle. Even when he is doing something as simple as watching TV, he is learning something. It is no surprise that he is considered one of the busiest people on the planet. Nevertheless, there is one thing that Johnson enjoys on his weekends.

Although Johnson is religiously committed to his work on the weekdays, he finds catharsis while fishing.
