One of the greatest names in the professional wrestling industry, Hulk Hogan rose to the top after several years of hard work. However, being this long in the industry, brought him negative limelight and enemies alongside fame.

Recently,a WWE legend opened up on his initial impression of Hulk Hogan and felt guilty about it. He would open up on how the locker room influenced his thoughts on Hogan, and how they would later change, as he spent time with him.

Which WWE legend defended Hulk Hogan despite his prior allegations of being involved in backstage politics?

During the latest podcast episode of his, WWE legend Kurt Angle opened up on his initial impression of Hulk Hogan. He would state that the entire locker room influenced him on having such thoughts about Hogan.

However, he would later dismiss them as he got to know The Hulkster. Angle claimed that other people and the locker-room tried manipulating him against Hogan, and had different sorts of things to say against The Hulkster.

During the podcast, Angle opened up, ” I didn’t give Hogan a chance when he first started. And when I got to know him he’s actually a really great guy. I felt badly about the way, everybody’s telling me, ‘watch out! Hulk Hogan is coming.’ He’s gonna politicize, he’s gonna fight for himself, and not for anybody else. And they got me all fired up like this guy was a bad person.”

He would later change his stance as he got to know Hogan. Angle continued, “And he wasn’t. He wasn’t at all. As a matter of fact, he didn’t do anything political. No politicizing. No, nothing political. He just came and was there to work. You know, he was there to work hard and make a living. And I felt badly about how my first impression was of him.”

Although there have been rumors of Hulk Hogan engaging in backstage politics, and turning the creative in his favor, WWE legend Kurt Angle dismissed all such claims and spoke to support Hogan. He would dismiss them as people trying to manipulate others against Hogan when in actuality he wasn’t really like that.

In the same podcast, Angle would also open up on hitting Hogan for real during their match at the esteemed MSG. Angle claimed that he was angry with Hogan for coming in late, and during the match, when he failed on executing the spots, Angle would hit him for real.

The Olympic gold medalist would later reveal how guilty he was after hitting Hogan for real and understands his mistake now. A youngster with a hot head then, Angle failed on handling the situation calmly and instead chose to hit Hogan to teach him a lesson.

They would later be answerable to Vince McMahon when Hogan complained to McMahon about Angle.
