Back in 2021, the Hollywood Reporter broke the news about Jungle Cruise potentially having a sequel. Johnson further confirmed this with his own Instagram post about the movie being green-lit for a sequel. But that was 2021 and we are in 2023 now. Nothing has been announced or hinted at about the Jungle Cruise sequel yet.

With Johnson’s Black Adam taking over the news like wildfire, people were focused on his passion project intensely. It took 15 years for the original movie to make its big debut as it was caught in production hell. Based on a Disney World ride, the movie was barebones for many years.
