To whether the roster cared about the way WWE presented Austin, Jim Ross said, “Not if they’re smart. Everybody wanted to be on his cards when I booked live events. First thing they’d look at is where Steve was and then see if their name was on that same card. They liked that. Simple. It’s all about the money. People say it’s not about the money, it’s all about the money. So I never heard anybody complain about Austin’s schedule. Because it pulled the wagon for so long. And he’d made a lot of guys a lot of money. Either working with him or working on his cards.”
How Stone Cold Steve Austin had to leave WWE for various reasons
