Jay Briscoe had been a pro wrestler for over two decades and made his name in the Ring of Honor as a tag team legend, along with his brother Mark.

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that Jay Briscoe was involved in a fatal car accident near Laurel, Delaware. It is further reported that there were two fatalities, including Jay in the accident.
