Recently, he has been in the headlines, as he is under investigation after reports that he paid $3 Million to a former employee as a settlement for an affair. The wrestling great Jim Cornette, on his recent podcast, talked about Vince McMahon’s ongoing issues. Notably, unlike others, Cornette has a very different stance on this situation.

On his podcast, Cornette stated, “Then the only thing my friend was so scared she quit after Vince McMahon and Lawyer Jerry paid her millions of dollars to shut up. If somebody I was working for paid me millions of dollars not to talk, I wouldn’t quit. I’d stay there and see what else I could figure out to get paid to not talk about.”
Additionally, he asserted that former wrestler and current WWE executive John Laurinaitis has been mentioned in WSJ reports. According to the WWE website, he is one of Mr. McMahon’s close allies as well. Nonetheless, as per the reports, Laurinaitis has a role in this settlement that involves McMahon and the former employee.

Vince McMahon’s Future
WWE fans, on the other hand, have been speculating about the corporation’s and the McMahon family’s future since the news came out. Meanwhile, Stephanie McMahon will serve as WWE’s interim chairperson, as her father stepped down.

Further, before the recent Friday Night SmackDown edition, WWE announced that Mr. McMahon will come down to the ring to address fans. WWE universe was eagerly waiting to hear McMahon for the first time after he stepped down.

However, contrary to what everyone expected, Mr. McMahon mentioned nothing about stepping down as the chairperson. Hence, many fans were not happy about it.
