At this year’s Money in the Bank in London, fans were caught off guard after they saw John Cena making an appearance. Although he did not compete, he subtly showed his interest in being with the promotion once again. Soon he became a regular face once again by being a guest referee at The Miz vs LA Knight match at Payback and then partnering up with LA Knight for Fastlane. But days after hinting that his departure from WWE is on the horizon, he pens down an emotional message for fans giving rise to speculations once again.

Cena has given his fans an extended run in WWE amidst the Hollywood strike. This has allowed him to connect with the WWE fans again but is he on his way back to Hollywood soon?

On the evening of October 21st, 2023, John Cena took to X (former Twitter) to write an emotional message for his fans. He highlighted how important fans are to him by saying, “It’s you. It’s me. It’s us.” He then thanked not only his fans but also “the incredible crowd” for allowing him to stay and spend some time with him. Cena even said that he is grateful for everything and every second he got to spend with his beloved fans and the audience of WWE. Cena’s comments come after he hinted at retirement on SmackDown’s latest episode before issuing a challenge to anyone on the roster to set up.

The Leader of the Cenation returned amidst the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes happening in Los Angeles. But a new update about the strikes and this message from John Cena has left fans wondering whether the star is heading back to Hollywood.

The Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists started a strike on July 14, 2023. The strike was in order to increase the pay for the people involved which includes actors, writers, and others. Although the screenwriter’s strike has ended after 42 days of no work, the Screen Actors Guild is still on strike as their demands have not been met yet. The strike is reaching the 100-day mark with neither of the parties coming to terms. This has halted all kinds of movie and television shootings and production. With his return for the second season of the hit HBO Max show The Peacemaker confirmed along with other titles, he is not here for long.

Even though the actor’s guild has not reached any terms as of now, John Cena’s exit is still possible as it was rumored his recent run with WWE was till October 27th. As the date is approaching, is there a possibility he might leave to take a break?

At the media scrum after Fastlane, John Cena was asked the dreaded question. How long will this run of his will last? To this, the Hollywood star responded that he was almost 46 years old. He even added that his body does not move the way it used to. He also said that the final match is on the horizon and it is something that cannot be ignored. Cena also added that till then he will try to be as genuine to his craft as possible. He will also try to perform on a level that he has set for the fans. 

According to reports and rumors, his current run was supposed to end on the October 27th episode of SmackDown. But there is some positive news for his fans. As for now, he is said to appear at the upcoming PLE of WWE, Crown Jewel. It is also said that he will be having a singles match with Solo Sikoa. There are also speculations that his stay might extend till Survivor Series as Nick Aldis might need his help.
