The WWE’s Golden Era gave several superstars to the world. Along with it, the promotion presented storylines worth remembering. One such star of that era was The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior had a solid run in WWE and even beat Hulk Hogan clean for the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania VI. However, his career didn’t exactly shoot to the superstardom level, as many would’ve thought. Reports of him being difficult to work with, combined with his limited in-ring ability, hindered his progress.

WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts recently took a sly dig at The Warrior’s ability as a wrestler and even rated him lower than another powerhouse Goldberg.

The 67-year-old has his own YouTube channels where he’s been voicing his opinions on different matters. Be it criticizing the current generation of wrestlers or sharing his views about other stars, “The Snake” doesn’t hold back. In one of his recent podcast episodes, he had some words for The Ultimate Warrior.

Former WWE wrestler again remembers his rival, The Ultimate Warrior

While speaking on his The Snake Pit podcast, Roberts was asked by his co-host about the wrestler’s thoughts on Goldberg. Along with it, he was also asked to share if he has seen any of his stuff. To this, The Snake responded that he has surely seen some of the former World Heavyweight Champion’s work, which he initially thought was ‘very strong.’ However, with time, his opinion changed, and now he thinks of it as a ‘little reckless’ and ‘dangerous’.

Surprisingly, the WWE Hall of Famer didn’t stop there but continued to describe his thoughts. He then also included The Warrior in his discussion and compared him with Goldberg. He said, “And you know, he’s damn sure no worse than The Ultimate Warrior. You know, for christ’s sake, he can do a lot more than the Warrior could and a lot better doing it.

It looked better doing it and more believable doing it and he’s damn sure he had a better interview, but then again, so does my dog,” Jake added.  However, this wasn’t the first time that he criticized the late Warrior. Even just a few months before his death, they were engaged in a verbal war.

Although an in-ring feud between The Ultimate Warrior and Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts didn’t happen, the two become rivals outside of it. According to Roberts, The Warrior treated him badly when he went to ask for his permission to work with him and they were at crossroads ever since.

In 2014, The Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and as soon as this was announced, Roberts couldn’t resist but responded furiously. He said, “Maybe they’re taking a**holes and not great talent, I don’t know.”

This wasn’t something that The Warrior couldn’t ignore, so he replied via a tweet. He labeled him a ‘hypocrite’ while questioning him where does he practice his beliefs of Christianity. But during the 2014 Hall of Fame induction, which also saw Roberts enter the elite class, The Ultimate Warrior apologized to Roberts days before his sad passing.
