Massive Hint on Johnny Gargano Leaving NXT After WarGames

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will share the ring at NXT WarGames alongside Pete Dunne and LA Knight as Team Black & Gold. Their team is going up against Team 2.0 comprising Bron Breakker, Grayson Waller, Tony D’Angelo, and Carmelo Hayes. It’s going to be the Men’s WarGames match.
Unfortunately, it’s possible that this will be the last time Johnny Gargano will be seen on WWE NXT 2.0 Television. It seems so considering Tommaso Ciampa took to social media to express that this could possibly be the last time they’re sharing the ring.

Ciampa thought the ending should have been after he went out to the ring and hugged Gargano after he was crowned champion in 2019.
“It was a very on the fly call. I guess it was Hunter, I think, who said, ‘If you want to go, go.’ It wasn’t like a plan. I know Johnny (didn’t know), if you watch it, you’ll see. It was a cool moment. I’ll be honest, I wish it was the end of it. I wish it ended there. I felt like it was a weird closure of the storyline. I liked when we did DIY vs. Moustache Mountain as a one-off. I love the idea of doing DIY stuff as one-offs. Anytime you put two NXT originals out there, there aren’t many of us left, it’s exciting.”
