Matt Riddle left WWE in September this year and as his non-compete clause with WWE came to an end, the talent was announced to join a promotion that he has worked for before.

Riddle probably wanted to try out something less mainstream. So, he left the Stamford-based company to go into a promotion that is less talked about compared to WWE. While he hasn’t revealed the intentions behind the same, some fans might be surprised upon hearing the name of his new promotion.

In 2017, Riddle spent a notable amount of time honing his skills in the MLW. Now, it seems the wrestler is back where he was six years ago.

MLW’s official Twitter handle took all of Riddle’s recorded achievements in the promotion and culminated them into a single video edit. The caption of the tweet reads, “Matt Riddle joins MLW“.

The Pennsylvania-based wrestler is not only known to the wrestling world but has also tried his luck in the UFC. First, Riddle answered him by saying, “I mean yeah I’ll do anything for some money.” Then, he put forth the condition that he would require a mixed martial art match rather than a conventional boxing match. This is perhaps because of the background that he had in the UFC.

So, maybe his appearances in MLW would be independent of a regular contract, giving him the freedom to explore more options in his career run.
