Muhammad Ali’s Trash Talk Did Not Pay Off in Vince McMahon’s WWE

Muhammad Ali is without a doubt the greatest boxer of all time. He established his name beyond the boxing ring and established himself as a dominant figure in the sporting world at large. However, Ali’s life was never without drama since he did some out-of-the-box things.

Likewise, In 1976, a memorable WWF event occurred. The boxing icon came to attend the WWF match since Ali was preparing for his fight with Antonio Inoki later that month in Japan.

Furthermore, Gorilla Monsoon, an Italian-American wrestler, was in the ring with his opponent. However, at the end of the match, Gorilla Monsoon tossed his opponent out of the ring directly in front of Muhammad Ali. It enraged the legend, and he yelled at Monsoon.

Ali threw off his jacket and shirt and ran into the ring. Soon after entering the ring, the boxing veteran began firing punches in the air, attacking the 400lbs wrestler.

Monsoon, on the other hand, replied by grabbing him and doing his signature spin move. They then took off Ali from the ring. His trash-talking, on the other hand, did not stop. In addition, this was not the only time Ali came to WWE.

Aside from being the most famous boxer of all time and a legend in the boxing world. Ali has also expressed his love for pro wrestling. Furthermore, at the first-ever WrestleMania, Ali honored the squared circle with his appearance.

Similarly, On June 1 at Superdome, Muhammad Ali came after to support his advisor, Bundini Brown, who was the manager of ‘The Snowman.’

Furthermore, he assisted The Snowman in winning the match. During the fight, he assaulted Jake “The Snake.” After that, The Snowman gave the power slam to win the bout.

According to Foley’s book. Jake was meant to fall down after one blow from Ali, but he refused throughout the match, saying, “Ali doesn’t have to come in here for work tomorrow, and I do.”
