Ricochet Steals a Trick From Eddie Guerrero’s Playbook to Win a Grudge Match on Raw

On the latest edition of Raw, Ricochet faced Cedric Alexander in singles action during the third hour of the show.
MVP had been chasing the ‘one and only’ for weeks now. Mr. 305 felt that Ricochet could be a wonderful addition to the Hurt Business.
To everyone’s shock, Ricochet’s former friend Alexander had turned on him and joined the Hurt Business. His other friend, Mustafa Ali, was revealed as the mysterious leader of Retribution.

In a backstage segment, Ricochet approached the Hurt Business with an interesting proposal. He challenged any Superstar of the group to a match and if Ricochet lost, he would join the group.

MVP found this to be a very lucrative offer and accepted this challenge. The spokesperson of the Hurt Business chose Cedric Alexander to go out and win the battle.

The match started somewhere around the third hour with Alexander’s corner stacked with all Hurt Business members while Ricochet was a lone warrior.
MVP looked desperate throughout the match as he wanted the win to bring Ricochet in. Towards the end of the match, Ricochet unintentionally ran into the referee and knocked him down.

As the referee was coming back to his senses, Ricochet acted as if a steel chair had smacked him. When the official turned around, he saw Alexander with the chair in his hand.
This was a move straight out of the Latino heat’s book. After the show, Ricochet took to Twitter and gave a cheeky response to a fan who pointed out this incident.

Eddie Guerrero’s birth anniversary was a few days back on October 9. We are sure he’s smiling somewhere, watching modern-day Superstars keeping his legacy alive.
