“Real Wrestling Has Returned”: WWE Fans Left Elevated as Butch Changes Back Name to the Much-Loved Pete Dunne

With a stacked card on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, fans were not expecting the return of a wrestler back to his original, much-loved gimmick. The second match of the night saw The Pretty Deadly take on Butch and Tyler Bate. However, it wasn’t Butch who came out to the ring.

After spending a year in suspenders playing his gimmick of Butch, Butch returned to form as the Bruiserweight Pete Dunne. Fans loved this gimmick and went wild for the return of it. The pop when Dunne came out as his older self was loud.

During the last episode of WWE SmackDown, we got a video package of Dunne talking about his time as Butch. He claimed that he was not feeling himself. He said that he was having an identity issue and needed to make a change. Looking at what Dunne did on tonight’s episode, that video package had Dunne written all over it.

Here is how the fans reacted. Fans claim that this has brought back real wrestling

Everyone was so excited.

They want to see Dunne vs Gunther.

Now they want the old theme back.
