The departure of WWE Superstars Naomi and Sasha Banks generated quite a stir in the WWE universe. Following the Banks and Naomi walkout on Monday Night Raw, WWE suspended them for an undisclosed period of time.

According to early reports, the tag team was unhappy with RAW’s creative ideas. Additionally, Banks and Naomi believed WWE was directing them in a different direction than what they wanted. Banks also voiced her dissatisfaction with Vince McMahon.

Additionally, Naomi wasn’t directly involved in the chaos and it was believed Naomi walked out to show support to her partner.

However, Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer gave the possible reason for Naomi’s walkout. On his Wrestling Observer Radio. He stated, “The deal is, and this was brought up to me as well, is that her [Naomi’s] contract, I guess it’s expiring soon, but she’s been in negotiations for a new deal.”

“It’s possible that they might go with the idea that she’s not leaving no matter what, her family’s here, and so they don’t feel the leverage that they might have felt with Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn or someone where if we lowball them, they’re gonna leave, so we have to give them a pretty big offer. Other than the creative differences, it might be possible that, as Naomi’s contract is about to end, she walked out to acquire the finest deal possible.

WWE removed Naomi and Banks from their iconic “Then. Now. Forever” intro.

Following the walk-out incident, WWE recently confirmed that Banks and Naomi had been indefinitely suspended.  WWE has pulled Banks and Naomi’s merchandise from their website.

Additionally, WWE also replaced Banks and Naomi with WWE superstars Cody Rhodes and Ronda Rousey in their legendary “Then. Now. Forever” intro video. This might indicate that the company is angry at the walkout incident.
