Rhea Ripley has been killing it lately by leading Judgement Day in and out of the ring. Not only does she have great chemistry with every member, but she has taken a newbie under her care. This little pup in the Judgement Day is none other than the legendary Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio. After his initiation into the group, Ripley and Dominik have built a relationship that fans are loving to watch. While their relationship is strictly inside the storyline, fans have been calling them out for posting normal selfies on their social media accounts. But the recent post by Ripley might just calm these fans down.

Rhea Ripley calls newbie WWE star by legendary WWE champion’s nickname

In one of her Instagram stories, Ripley called Dominik her ‘Latino Heat’ as well as her ‘My Dom Dom’. Latino Heat, as we all remember, was the nickname that Eddie Guerrero went by. Eddie has been a major part of the Mysterios, even involving Dominik in one of his feuds with Rey Mysterio. Even after his death, Dominik takes a lot from Eddie in both his repertoire and mic skills.

Ever since his turn to the dark side, fans have been clamoring to see Dominik go against his father. The pair won the WWE tag titles last year and became the first father-son duo to win the titles. Adding to that, Dominik only debuted at SummerSlam to protect his father. So, for Dominik to have turned on, his father would make the story come full circle.

After the initial beating that Dominik gave Rey, the father and son have not seen eye to eye on WWE TV. So what better time to bump up the storyline by having a match at the biggest stage of them all? Also, making this one a stipulation based on their relationship would make more sense and elevate both the Mysterios. While Dominik is still a newbie when it comes to in-ring skills, working with his father will bring out the best in him.
