When fans attack WWE Superstars, it’s taken very seriously by the company. It’s not something the fans get away with. Therefore, when a fan attacked Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw, he got himself in quite a bit of trouble.

Now, while the cops handled the fan since WWE handed him over to the NYPD, the Superstars backstage ensured The Drip God was doing fine.

Unfortunately, not everyone has been supportive of Rollins’ actions when the fan attacked. One such Ric Flair.

He believes that Seth Rollins shouldn’t have moved away when others took control of the attacker. In fact, he should have jumped back in to teach him a lesson.

“My problem with Seth is that if you’re a top guy in this business and you don’t know anything about the psychology of what the fans think and feel, which they really do, you never ever get off an airplane in L.A. and say ‘I was terrified’.”

“Terrified of what? Being in an airplane crash? You were terrified or horrified by a wrestling fan. Come on man. What I would have done if I was Seth, which everybody should learn from this, is that even if the referees had him, I’d have to jump back on him even if I never got a shot at him.”

Not only did Flair express his disagreement over Rollins’ reaction, but also brought his WWE in-ring personality into the equation.

“WWE would have covered the lawsuit. Seth never got to him but if you’re a heel, you never admit defeat.”

Seth Rollins had reasons to not attack the fan

When the fan attacked The Drip God, he immediately had his arm around his neck. Rollins actually had him in The Guillotine Hold. However, it was smarter for Rollins to release him than attack his attacker.

First, Seth Rollins’ segments for the night weren’t over. On the off chance that he got into a brawl, it wouldn’t have been possible for him to complete his segments, since the police would immediately charge him as well.

Second, Rollins not attacking the fan saved him any legal troubles. Considering Becky Lynch and he are parents of a one-year-old, it was better for him to move away from the situation and not invite any problems for himself or his family.

Finally, Rollins is a top guy in the WWE business. He wouldn’t handle someone by himself if there are others to do it for him.

Therefore, maybe Flair would have done things differently. But Seth Rollins did what was best for him.
