“Rock Comes Back”: Wrestling Veteran, Who Once Mocked Dwayne Johnson’s Family, Gives Interesting Take on His WWE Return

Dwayne Johnson is recently speculated to be returning to WWE for WrestleMania 39. Additionally, a top-tier Hollywood star, he has always had a demanding schedule. But Johnson’s schedule will be slowed down in the first quarter of 2023. However, WWE legend Bubba Ray Dudley believes that The Rock will make a comeback at Royal Rumble.

Bully Ray recently mentioned the potential of The Rock returning to the Royal Rumble next year on Busted Open. The Hall of Famer believes The Great One might be a surprise entry in the Battle Royal, and used victory to build up a match with Roman Reigns.

On the podcast, he stated, “Rock comes back, wins the Rumble, gets his shot at ‘Mania. It’s pretty simple. Keep it simple, stupid. Slow and steady wins the race. Win the Rumble, build, build, build to ‘Mania. Yeah, I don’t see any other way.”

In addition, he mentioned that he would like to see the Royal Rumble come down to actual heavyweights like The Rock, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton. He really wants the heavyweight to be close to the end so that everyone would wonder who would win.

Additionally, he hopes The Rock’s schedule is vacant for the first quarter of 2023, and the WWE will capitalize on this by extracting everything they can from The Rock to prepare for a massive WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns next year.

This happened during Dudley Boyz’s comeback to WWE. Following their return, they developed a dispute with The Usos. Additionally, Bubba Dudley dedicated all of his punches to Johnson’s family and stated that he hates Johnson’s grandfather, Peter Maivia.
