Time and again, fans have decoded online hints pointing toward Mercedes Mone’s potential return to WWE. However, the anticipated return may not be taking place after all. The chances are that ‘The Boss’ has found a different promotion to portray her talent. New reports from PW Insider shine a light on Banks’ inclination to return to the wrestling business. The industry insider has reported that Banks is set to make a comeback in the wrestling industry by March 2024.

Neither a particular date nor the promotion for her return has been confirmed as yet. But one thing that the reports claim to confirm is that Mercedes Vernado will not show up in WWE.

Apart from the Stamford-based company, there are only a few roads that one can predict Banks to walk on. One of them is AEW. Some hints, along with Banks’ appearance at AEW All In 2023, point toward a possibility of her signing with Tony Khan‘s promotion.

However, a former WWE employee has already given his verdict on why Mercedes Mone should avoid signing with Tony Khan’s promotion in the first place. What could be the reason?

Eric Bischoff thinks Sasha Banks shouldn’t accept an offer from AEW!

Considering her stature in the wrestling circle, Sasha Banks’ return ought to be massive. But Eric Bischoff believes that if the former NXT Women’s Champion joins AEW, her career will be done.

Could she make more money with Tony? Yes. But her career as a star is effectively over at that point... And if you don’t agree, not you, but if one doesn’t agree with that statement, look at any other former ‘WWE Star’ that is better off today than they were at the peak of their careers in WWE,” he stated.

Part of the reason for Bischoff’s comment could be that he has a long-running beef with AEW’s CEO. Both engaged in a long social media feud and Bischoff, the former WCW President, loved every bit of it. When Bischoff initially shared things he disliked about Khan and AEW, hostility started growing. Clearly, the 68-year-old has reasons behind his advice for Sasha Banks.

Regardless, AEW seems to be the frontrunner to land the wrestler under the ‘Mone’ moniker. Her arrival will surely bolster the promotion’s women’s division. However, fans will have to wait for Banks to make an announcement officially.
