In a recent interview, Matt Riddle has spoken about the issue and has confirmed that the rumor was indeed true.

Matt Riddle opens up about his heat with Seth Rollins

During a recent interview with talkSPORT, Matt Riddle decided to open up and clear the air between the alleged legitimate heat between Seth Rollins and himself. Riddle confirmed that the rumors were true and added that he was responsible for the bad vibe.

Matt said- “I’ll be honest, I’ve met Seth multiple times, and he’s met me and I don’t think we’ll ever be best friends [laughs].”

“I don’t think we like one another, we’re just two different people. [Although] we both love wrestling. I know my significant other said something about Becky that they didn’t like and I also did not like or agree with. Seth didn’t like me after that, and I don’t think Becky liked me or my wife either, which is understandable. It is what it is,” Matt added.

From the quotes of Matt Riddle, it is evident that the root of the incident goes back to an Instagram post posted by his wife, Lisa.

Lisa, in her post, body-shamed some of the female Superstars of WWE, which didn’t go well with Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. The post, which was later deleted, caused all the turmoil between Rollins and Matt.

Riddle said that he couldn’t clear the air between him and Rollins as Seth avoided speaking with Matt frequently.

Survivor Series; The ice breaker

Matt Riddle then said that Survivor Series was a huge ice breaker for him as he finally had time to talk with Seth and clear the tension between them.

He said that he apologized for his wife’s behavior and added that he doesn’t support such behavior. Matt then said that he praised Seth Rollins as a skilled performer and as a family man and also said that he would love to work with Seth at any possible time.

Matt Riddle’s decision to speak publicly about the heat that Seth had on him has finally cleared all the doubts that were flying in the fans’ minds.

Even though Matt said that Seth accepted his apology, he clearly stated that both the Superstars are no friends. The duo keeps mutual respect, and that is all there is for the time being.
