WWE released a proxy statement, which detailed the salaries and total earnings of many notable figures in the organization. After a glance at these reports, there’s no wonder why WWE is one of the highest-valued companies in the world, ahead of its merger with Endeavor. However, a deeper look into the reports, showed how the talent pay varies among the top dogs of WWE. Surprisingly, Shane McMahon drew a higher amount, than the WWE COO, Triple H for the annual year 2022.

Shane McMahon beats Triple H and Stephanie in terms of talent pay

A WWE reporter, Brandon Thurston analyzed a few important points, from the proxy statement issued by WWE. From Vince McMahon to Frank Riddick, everyone received a huge sum for their involvement in the company. However, fans were curious about the talent pay, each of the top members got for making cameos in the ring. According to the reports, Paul Michael Levesque made $807,595, and Stephanie McMahon, his wife, made $717,253.

Thurston wrote in his recent tweet “Shane McMahon’s talent pay for 2022 was $827,559, disclosed in the proxy because he’s a family member. This was already disclosed earlier this year in another filing when Vince returned to the company.”

and added, “Shane had 1 match in 2022, as part of the Royal Rumble match.”

However, fans were taken aback when comparing it to Shane McMahon’s draw. According to the reports, the son of CEO Vince McMahon drew an amount of $827,559 on a talent pay basis. Which overtakes the money made by Triple H for his performance fees.

Being the son of Vince McMahon definitely has its perks

The proxy reports clearly show a discrepancy among the wage bills of the major stakeholders in the organization. However, it is important to note that Shane McMahon’s contract varies from others, due to him being a family member.

Moreover, talent pay includes performance fees, royalties, and related minimum guarantees. However, many factors could contribute to the final salary paid by WWE.

To make it clear, this talent pay is a small portion of the total salaries, drawn in by these major figures in the entertainment business. Which is determined by their occasional appearances in the ring and other royalties.

Therefore, despite making a single Royal Rumble appearance in 2022, Shane McMahon raked in a higher amount than two of the most important board members, in WWE.
